Leading plastics manufacturer approaches Percept to reposition their evolving brand. The project involved brand strategy, identity and signage.

Case Study

The Challenge

W&S Plastics are a family owned business established in 1978, manufacturing custom injection moulded products and post-moulding activities, specialising in medical, industrial engineering and promotional fields.

The challenge was to develop a brand strategy and identity design that would reposition their company, reflecting W&S Plastic’s high quality technical capabilities and their status as a multi-national organisation.

The Solution

After a visual assessment and brand strategy workshop with the key stakeholders, Percept developed a new direction for W&S Plastics that positions them as a forward thinking company.

Through the clever use of typography, Percept developed a logo that is indicative of the company’s streamlined and innovative services. The lockup of the ampersand and ‘s’ symbolises collaboration, precision and progressive thinking. The teal colour adds a modern yet professional feel, showcasing W&S Plastics’ philosophy to continually develop their processes to be at the cutting edge of their field.

The new brand identity was applied to corporate collateral, and office signage was also developed for their new Malaysian plant, which included outdoor, reception and way finding office signage.  This roll-out presented the perfect opportunity to let the brand show its character with clever usage of the ampersand device.
