Case Study

Rock Eisteddfod Challenge is a unique and exciting entertainment event that promotes positive outcomes and healthy lifestyles for school age youth through the performing arts in Australia.

Percept is a Sydney creative agency who were selected to be responsible for the graphic design theme for consecutive years.

This included the visual image and the graphic design of all promotional material such as posters, programs, t-shirts, certificates and DVD packaging.

With the target audience of high school age, image is everything! All the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge’s marketing material needs to be perceived as cool so the kids can relate to it and be attracted to participate.

When designing the poster and program for each year’s Rock Eisteddfod event, we used bright colours and various elements with street art influence whilst maintaining the performance feel of this exciting performing arts event.

With experience in graphic design for the entertainment industry, Percept have also been responsible for brand identity and graphic design of the promotional material of other Rock Eisteddfod events.

We’ve also created the visual theme for the primary school version called JRock as well as New Zealand’s Stage Challenge event.
