Boldly confident branding and packaging design for painting products manufacturer and supplier, C&A Australia.

Case Study

The Challenge

C&A Brushware, a family owned company established in 1985, is a proud Australian manufacturer and supplier of quality painting products. Following a company name update to C&A Australia, the engaged Percept to create new branding and packaging design to convey a quality, Australian and trusted feel.

With three ranges available in the market, positioned as ‘good’, ‘better’ and ‘best’, it was important to consider how the new branding and packaging design would work across the product brands Tasman, PaintPro and Flex (brand naming services by Percept) in a cohesive fashion while giving each its own unique flair.

The Solution

A confident, ownable badge, based around the shape of a paintbrush, was created to house the modern, custom-made C&A letterforms. The letters become a window, allowing the packaging design to show through the logo for visual interest and a unique, dynamic brand personality.

The brand-led packs have the new C&A logo design front and centre, with consistent content placement for uniformity and cohesiveness throughout the suite.

Visually engaging backdrops specific to each product brand are reflective of their categories and contribute to maximum shelf shout and standout in the marketplace.

Percept also created a product catalogue design based on the new branding. The catalogue utilises colour blocking for easy navigation and takes design cues from the new packaging design, incorporating dynamic paint textures and refined typography for a sophisticated and professional look and feel.
