The Challenge

Solaris Paper is an Australian operated and managed company, which distributes high quality toilet and tissue paper products throughout the Australasia region, usually for the out of home market.

They approached Sydney creative agency, Percept, for retail packaging design for new products under the Paseo brand, which were to be sold in a retail situation; Paseo toilet tissue and Paseo kitchen towel.

The Solution

It was important that the final packaging design positioned the products in the high quality range.

Percept came up with a creative structure that was based on natural flowing shapes, communicating softness, confidence, reliability and quality.

The packaging design needed to feel like it belonged to the category, yet be distinctly different from competitors’ packaging. Our design solution set-out to achieve a strong impression when on shelf which is why solid colour blocking was used.
