The Challenge

Divine Pets (a division of Divine Cosmetics), specialise in the development and manufacture of Australian, high quality, natural pet grooming products.

An exciting opportunity arose for a premium ‘Professional’ range to be introduced to retailers within the Chinese, Hong Kong and South Korean markets, as well as with Petbarn in Australia.

A long-term client of Percept’s, Divine Pets approached us to create professional packaging design for the new range, whilst retaining the current Divine Pets branding, but with a slant towards the scientific effectiveness of the product’s ingredients.

The Solution

Although it’s a product for pets, the packaging design draws on elements found in the professional environment of the high-end hair and beauty industry for humans.

A contemporary design style, paired with a scientific feel, trusted tone of voice, the packaging design for the professional range sits confidently on the shelf as a premium alternative to regular pet care products. The Australian aspect is reinforced through the existing iconography and colour palette, and a ‘Professional’ roundel device compliments the current Divine Pets brand lock-up.

A metallic gold print placed on the black matt finish bottle has a lovely contrast, providing a high-end feel. A colour band, wrapping from front to back, differentiates each product on shelf. Colours used in this professional packaging design range are inspired by a modern interpretations of Australia eg. red-earth, eucalyptus green, etc.
