The Challenge

Fehlberg’s Fine Foods an Australian owned food company specialising in manufacturing, importing and marketing of pickles and related products.

Fehlberg’s approached Percept for this product label design project. The idea was to refresh their range to showcase their selection of only the highest quality produce.

The Solution

The new product label design positions Fehlberg’s as a premium product which is indicative of the company’s heritage and gives the brand a feeling of reliability and trustworthiness.

We have used a tactile texture in the background which gives the product a subtle, natural feel. The blue gradient also gives the pack a more premium positioning, whilst helping them stand out from the competitors. The crafted ribbon device gives the product labels an ‘award winning’ feel and allows for clear variant differentiation. Illustrations allude to a hand-crafted rusticness which appeals to the target consumer, and the gold highlights further reinforce the ‘best in show’ strategy that Sydney design agency, Percept, recommended for the range.

As a separate product label design project, we were also asked to develop private label packaging for cornichons which retail in Aldi supermarkets throughout Australia.
