Bringing modern-classic dining into the digital space with the Jensens Restaurant brand and website design.
Carl Jensen, Executive Chef and Owner of Cronulla’s iconic Summer Salt, engaged Percept to develop a distinct brand for his new venture, Jensens. Jensens is a restaurant and bar located in Sydney’s south, which leverages the heritage and reputation built by Carl and his team in his first successful restaurant, also named Jensens, circa 1990.
The original restaurant had a French influence, and although based on classic techniques the new Jensens has a fresh, modern appeal for today’s savvy diners.
Percept created a comprehensive brand identity anchored in elegant simplicity with a pinch of personality and a nod to the Jensens heritage. Typographic craft, texture and layering were key in achieving the sophistication intended for the new brand.
The website design carries the refined and classic, yet refreshingly modern and light touch of the new brand. Beautifully shot photography leads the design, boasting a mix of studio shot styled food in combination with lifestyle and restaurant imagery which features the beautiful interior design created by Giant Design.
The website design on the whole promotes Jensens as family-friendly and appetising yet, at the same time, an elegant experience. The familiar Jensens tone of voice in the printed collateral also finds its way into the website design, adding an approachable and fun brand personality to the site as the user navigates through.
User experience is carefully considered at all touch-points with a responsive layout and navigation that is seamless, intuitive and a delight to use.
