Discovery

In search of website design Sydney, Percept was engaged by fellow creative agency, Foxton, to partner up for the Chesapeake website design.

Built on service and reliability, Chesapeake had become known for the ability to solve complex supply challenges many would 
walk away from. Over time, the business had expanded into something far more 
than a supplier, operating as a strategic partner across logistics, inventory, custom finishes, and specialty wood solutions.

The disconnect was perception. Existing digital touchpoints undersold the scale 
of the operation, the premium nature of 
the offering, and the confidence customers already associated with the business.

The brief wasn’t simply for a website design. It was an opportunity to create a digital experience that could carry the weight of the new brand positioning — bringing clarity, consistency, and momentum to a brand entering its next phase of growth.

 

Strategy

The approach for this website design focused on translating the new brand positioning and brand identity design into a functional and scalable digital experience.

From a UX perspective, the structure needed to simplify a large and technically detailed offering into clear, intuitive pathways for different audiences. Information architecture, navigation, and content hierarchy were carefully considered to improve usability, reduce complexity, and reinforce Chesapeake’s premium brand positioning.

The UI system unifies the platform through a considered design language – combining typography, layout, imagery, and interaction patterns to deliver an experience that feels confident, capable, and easy to navigate.

Brand Positioning

The website design becomes an active expression of the brand identity, communicating operational scale without losing warmth. Industrial expertise without friction. Premium brand positioning without pretence.
