The Challenge

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) is one of the largest broadcast media agencies in Australia. They have a fun and passionate internal culture that’s embedded deep into the heart of the company and embodied fully by their staff and leadership team who live and breathe their core values every day.

SCA approached Percept for the brochure design of two pieces as part of their internal brand communications. A values document, consolidating the five core values of SCA, as well as a second brochure design, outlining their leadership behaviours framework.

The Solution

For the staff engagement brochure design, Percept created an 8-page piece that unfolds to an A2 poster. Using a play on type and colour, this fun lock-up highlights what is unique about working at SCA.

The internal communications brochure design for the leadership behaviours framework, used a simple typographic solution to highlight the core message of the document ‘lead behaviour’. A balance of refined typography, black and white imagery and pops of blue, form the key elements for a contemporary and sophisticated leadership brochure design.

Each brochure design works in isolation or as part of the bigger picture, among their overall brand communications.

As an extension of the project, we also applied the theme to their environmental signage design. This certainly helped engagement as it was front of mind, being part of their office fit-out and everyday work-space.
