The Challenge

Planning Ingenuity is a highly skilled specialist town planning consultancy based in Sydney’s South. The brand designers at Percept originally developed their brand in 2010, and has recently redesigned their brand identity, following business growth in both size and reputation. The website design was naturally the next project in line, following the success of their new printed marketing communications.

The Solution

The name ‘Planning Ingenuity’ means planning cleverly, clever use of resources, space and intelligent business acumen. Inspired by this, Percept’ brand designers created a suite of coloured modular shapes that represent the five main pillars of the business: Rezoning & Strategic Services, Advice & Feasibility, Development, Assessment & Government Projects and Land & Environment Court.

These dynamic elements of the brand identity and website design are showcased throughout, incorporating the progressive, vibrant look and feel of the new brand identity refresh. ‘Shaping futures’ is the driving force behind the brand identity and website, utilising a modular grid that references the shapes from the branding, creating a sense of energy as it shifts.

The website now makes it easier for users to navigate sections with each represented by a brand shape and associating colour. The brand refresh successfully elevates the business in the industry and with the new website now in place, its presence in both the printed and digital realm, now perfectly align thanks to brand designers, Percept.
